Indian style Perfect Guacamole at Home | Easy Recipe

What is Guacamole?

Guacamole is a popular Mexican dish primarily made from ripe avocados. It’s typically served with snacks like bread, tortilla chips, or even as a flavorful side dish.


Ingredients:

Ripe avocados – 3 large

Tomatoes – 2 (Roma or any juicy variety)

Red onion – 1/3 cup, finely chopped

Garlic – 3 cloves, finely minced

Green chili (like jalapeño) – 1, deseeded and finely chopped

Fresh cilantro – 1 handful, finely chopped

Lime juice – Juice of 1 large lime (or as needed)

Salt – To taste


How to Make Guacamole:

1. Prepare Onion and Garlic:

In a mixing bowl, add finely chopped red onion and garlic. Pour in the lime juice and let it sit for 5–10 minutes. This reduces the sharpness and enhances the flavor.


2. Add Green Chili and Cilantro:

Add the chopped green chili and fresh cilantro to the same bowl. You can adjust the chili quantity based on your spice preference.


3. Cut and Add Avocados:

Slice the avocados in half, remove the pits, and scoop out the flesh using a spoon. Roughly chop the avocado and add it to the bowl. Avoid over-mashing — keeping it slightly chunky gives a better texture.


4. Add Tomatoes:

Chop the tomatoes into small pieces and mix them in. You may also use cherry or heirloom tomatoes if available.


5. Adjust Lime and Salt:

Add salt to taste and an additional squeeze of lime juice if needed. Mix everything gently so the avocado chunks stay mostly intact.


6. Ready to Serve:

Your fresh and flavorful guacamole is ready to enjoy. Serve it with corn chips, toasted bread, or any snack of your choice.


Tips:

If you don’t like cilantro, feel free to skip it.

If your tomatoes are too soft, add them at the end to avoid breaking them.

This recipe makes enough for 4–5 servings.
